FEBRUARY 14TH EP: AVAILABLE NOW

Listen and purchase the EP now..

I woke up this morning terribly excited. Not because it’s Valentine’s Day – not with a face like this! I look like a manatee that deigned to grow a human nose. No, I woke up excited because today is the day – finally, at last, after such a wait – Andrew Butler’s EP, ‘February 14th’ on sale at last!

The EP is up now for you, and just about anyone else, to download. You can find it here on Bandcamp, where the five tracks cost you only four pounds. FOUR. POUNDS. And they say money can’t buy you happiness! Who knew it would be so cheap?

It’s been a long road getting here, both for us and for Andrew himself. We first met Andrew some eighteen months ago now; he headlined our first ever gig back in 2010. That’s when we first fell in love with his music – Wars of the Heart, the third track on ‘February 14th’, was his closer that night. Give it a listen, see if you don’t fall in love with it – and him – too.

So that’s that. We’ve released our first purchasable record, and we hope you’ll give it a listen, maybe buy it, and support Andrew in all he does. In fact, if you really want to support him, don’t forget that we’ve got a launch party to celebrate the EP release! It’s tomorrow, on February 15th, at The Queens Head in London. Entry is free, and Andrew will be playing with support from Josienne Clarke, Lucy Cait and Rosie Jones of Worry Dolls. All of these acts have three things in common: they are good friends of the Folkroom, they make fantastic music and they are women*.

We wish you a very merry Valentines Day, be you hen-pecked by love or a free-range kinda person, and we hope you’ll all come down and celebrate Andrew Butler’s first release tomorrow!
