Three Cheers for The Lost Cavalry!
The debut album by The Lost Cavalry is out now! ‘Three Cheers For The Undertaker’ is a record that represents much more than the result of months (indeed, years) of work by the band – it also represents some of the finest music Folkroom has had the pleasure to bring you. Built around the lyrics of frontman Mark West, the album is a collection of intelligently written songs with varied histories, telling captivating stories.
‘Three Cheers For The Undertaker’ has already been well-received by critics, with Folk Radio calling it ‘deceptively deep’, and ‘a highly accomplished debut album’. We like that one. Indie London enjoyed the band’s ‘enticing melodies, considered lyrics and thoughtfully orchestrated treats’. Come to think of it, so do we. As Culture Fly says, ‘Three Cheers For The Undertaker is a celebration of British cross-genre music in all its finery.’ We’d also like to add that the album is terrific, endlessly enjoyable and generally quite spiffing. And you can quote us on that.
If you want to discover the album for yourself, ‘Three Cheers For The Undertaker’ is out now and available from our Bandcamp. We’d recommend a deeper exploration too of the band’s track-by-track over here.
And so, there it is. Three cheers for the undertaker, indeed. And while we’re at it, three cheers for The Lost Cavalry!
