Anyone listening to Bob Meyer’s weekly folk show on Radio Wey last Tuesday will have heard our exclusive announcement – it’s time now to share it with the rest of the world!

Folkroom Records are announcing singer-songwriter Sophie Jamieson as our newest signing!

Those of you paying close attention to our adventures as a record label will be more than aware of Sophie, who provided a show-stopping moment on our recent Anthology Two compilation (still available for free here!). If you haven’t heard it yet, ‘Dinah’ is probably the easiest way of explaining just why we wanted Sophie Jamieson for Folkroom Records.

So now it’s time to get to work! Our first step is to get Sophie and our man Ben in the studio together – we can’t wait to hear the results. Sophie’s debut EP will be released both digitally and physically in 2013. Keep an ear out for more news and developments!
