Every other Wednesday at The Harrison / Every other Thursday at The Village

– –

The Folkroom gigs are our very own free fortnightly events, bringing together the freshest (and finest) new talent on the folk scene in intimate venues in both London and Brighton! The nights are our chance to show you what we’re listening to and loving, as well as a chance to catch some of Folkroom Records’ artists absolutely free. We have two regular events – The Folkroom Fortnightly, and Folkroom by Sea.

Held every other Wednesday at The Harrison, just six minutes walk from King’s Cross station, the Folkroom Fortnightly is where it all started for us. Expect new musicians, old friends and occasional surprise guests!

On Thursdays immediately after our London event you’ll find us at The Village in Brighton for our Folkroom By Sea events. In one of the city’s most charming, community-minded pubs, Folkroom By Sea draws on the local music scene, as well as our wider collective of musicians to bring Brighton a new night of musical discovery.

All the acts are hand-picked to give you a taster of what we love. We want to be proud of the acts we bring you. And we always are.

We also occasionally put on larger, ticketed events playing around with themes and ideas that excite us. In the past we’ve put on three Christmas extravaganzas, gigs on boats and even a gig covering Kate Bush songs. Recently, we’ve created the Then! gig series, in which we attempt to cover entire Now! compilation albums in one night. Whatever the gig is, we want to make sure it’s the most fun you’ve had all week.

For details of upcoming Folkroom Fortnightlies, and other special events, check our Facebook events page.
